David Ackerman
Bio

David Ackerman is a classical crossover tenor who has amazed audiences
with his range and versatility.  Compared to Luciano Pavarotti as well as
Styx’s Dennis DeYoung, David ‘s shows include a tasty mix of Billy Joel, the
Beatles, the Eagles and Josh Groban, with an occasional classical  song
thrown-in for seasoning.

A native of Indianapolis, David has appeared on Fox 59, WFYI, RTV6 and
Z99.5.  David has performed at the Kennedy Center, Cambridge University,
the Indiana Convention Center, the Indianapolis Civic Theatre and the
Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center.  Additionally, he has sung at an array of
events including the 70th Birthday Celebration for Leonard Bernstein, the
Third Armored Division Veterans 58th Annual Reunion and Memorial
Service, Leopalooza, The Legacy House’s R.O.C.C.-a-thon, French
Market, the Indianapolis Mini Marathon, Zionsville Presbyterian Church’s
25th Anniversary Celebration and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s
Light the Night Walk.

David's triumphant return to the music world after battling cancer was
kicked-off with his Remission Concert presented at the Christel DeHaan
Fine Arts Center in 2003.  David is grateful to God for the healing and good
health he has experienced since that time and considers every opportunity
to sing a celebration and every song a gift.
